About Creo Illustrate
Creo Illustrate enables you reuse CAD data to generate interactive, animated 3D technical illustrations that communicate complex service infmation easily and accurately. The 3D illustrations you create can be saved and published in a variety of 2D and 3D graphic fmats.
With Creo Illustrate, you can:
- Impt 3D data from many different types of mechanical CAD (MCAD) files.
- Manipulate objects, such as parts and assemblies, in a 3D graphic view a structure tree.
- Associate an illustration with an impted parts list service bill of material (sBOM), then auto-generate callouts based on the impted - list- on an item list you create.
- Add 2D and 3D graphic library assets-such as tools, fixtures, and labels-to your illustration.
- Animate your illustration starting with an animation template.
- Kit and combine parts, assemblies, tools, supplies, and other sBOM items.
- Create multiple figures in a single illustration file. The figures can have different:
3D model view ientations and zoom levels.
Parts, assemblies, kits, and other sBOM items shown as opaque, phantom (semi-transparent), hidden.
Render modes, such as shaded with optional thick/thin edge lines and hidden lines removed.
Exploded views and section views.
Annotations, such as callouts, notes, symbols, stamps and explode lines.
The 3D illustrations you create in Creo Illustrate can be set to update automatically when the source CAD changes-and they are easy to share across the enterprise.
